Inside our shop you can embark on a journey through history thanks to the purchase of the “history route” ticket!

The most important military reforms that occurred during the life of ancient Rome will be explained to you live, from the foundation of the city to the collapse of the Western Roman Empire.

Here you will also be told how the military formations of Rome have changed, the way of waging war. You will have the opportunity to see but, above all, feel the different equipments of the Roman soldiers; how they evolved and why they evolved the way they did.

It will be a way to learn the military part of the history of Rome, by delving into this side of Rome’s history, you will educate yourself in military art and you will discover why the greatness of Rome’s history is mainly due to military innovations.

Rome is full of museums where you can see everything, but experiencing it is something else.

It would be impossible to explain the entire military history of Rome in detail in just half an hour, which is why the route will be divided into two parts. One theoretical and the other practical.

How can you understand history without living it?

Halfway through the route we will move outside to the internal courtyard of the shop where you will be taught how to use the gladius and the shield, as well as what the main tactics were in the close clash between two armies.

If your group is made up of at least 3 people you will also be taught how to do a testudo (Roman military defensive formation). So gather as many people as possible and come and try! (max 4. People per shift). La vostra testudo sarà poi messa alla prova!

After using the gladius you will be taught how to throw a Pilum (the Roman javelin) which was thrown at the enemies before the two lines of armies charged against each other. The effectiveness of all weapons will be explained to you in detail as you try to use them, all of this is included in the “history route”!

There is something for all tastes here, weapons for soldiers and jewels for matrons!

Weapons (historical reproductions for free sale), helmets, shields, banners of almost all the legions of Rome, souvenirs… all with the same ancient Rome theme.

Come and also visit our very interesting section of ancient Roman jewellery. In fact, all the jewels present here are based on archaeological findings from the excavations, which have been carried out throughout history. Some of the necklaces, earrings, bracelets or rings that we have for sale would make a great impression, not only during a historical re-enactment event, but also in the most elegant modern evenings. You can also discover what type of perfumes the Romans used to wear and buy it for yourself or to give as a unique present.

Clearly, since having jewelry was more a female than male prerogative during the historical period of ancient Rome, you will mainly find jewelry that, at the time, was considered for a female audience.
